MARYLAND TREATMENT PROVIDERS FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS WHO VIOLATE SEX LAWS

Please note:

1. It is unknown how many children and adolescents are required to attend these clinics for non-coercive activity, since providers often do not distinguish between coercive and consensual behavior when they believe it is age-inappropriate, or when it involves siblings or age differences.

2. There is no way of knowing how humanely a particular provider administers cognitive restructuring.

3. Many of these clinics work with adults as well as children. (Those who do are indicated.) The information below comes from a directory which does not distinguish between methods used on different age groups. Therefore, it does not give the age of the youngest patients who receive sex-drive reducing drugs, aversion therapy, or other arousal reconditioning methods.
